Project managers and executives often do not see the human element of change for the stakeholders who will be impacted by software initiatives. Generally, people do not evaluate information and form impressions based solely on logic. Instead, they tend to make gut-level intuitive leaps that are often negative in nature, and are resistant to new evidence. Those impacted are often unaware of upcoming changes which can add to the quick judgment on an impending change such as a new software initiative.
